Aloe Manor Guest House is the perfect getaway destination in Oudtshoorn for business or leisure, situated in a tranquil area with very little traffic and the architectural symbiosis of this establishment ensures a natural balance between the scenic beauty of the environment and the needs of our guests. Fully operational during loadshedding, Aloe Manor provides spacious, peaceful surroundings with an abundance of natural vegetation and guests have a choice of lovely rooms that can accommodate 2 to 6 people, enjoying a marvellous view of the Swartberg Mountains right from the bedroom door. The air-conditioned rooms are furnished with queen-size or three-quarter beds, or a combination of queen-size beds with three-quarter beds or bunk beds. The en-suite bathrooms are fitted with a bath, Jacuzzi bath, shower, or a shower only, and a toilet. Each of the rooms is equipped with a TV, safe for valuables, tea and coffee facilities as well as Wi-Fi, and some rooms also have a workstation. The rooms have private entrances and open onto a patio. In addition, some rooms are equipped for self-catering with a small kitchenette containing a microwave, 2-plate stove and the necessary cutlery, crockery and utensils, making them ideal for a family getaway. For convenience, bath towels are provided and the rooms are serviced in the mornings. A laundry service is also available on request at an additional cost. Guests can cool down in the inviting swimming pool, use the braai facilities or relax in the communal lounge which offers a TV with selected DStv channels. Wood and charcoal can be ordered and braai packs are available on request at an additional cost. The garden was designed beautifully complementing the minimalist yet striking interior decor, creating perfect harmony between the interior and exterior and ample safe parking is available on the premises. Oudtshoorn, also known as the ostrich capital is the largest town in the Klein Karoo, is a picturesque town that has been left with a legacy of beautiful architecture, remnants from the economic booms which the area experienced when the fashion industry demanded the finest ostrich feathers.

Within 30 km of the town, there are several interesting attractions, including the world-famous Cango Caves, the world's leading show cave where you can undertake daily tours. Visit the historical village of De Rust which lies at the foot of the mighty Swartberg mountain range. The beautiful tree-lined main road of De Rust boasts stunning 19th-century cottages and homes which have been lovingly restored. The Swartberg Pass offers an incredible scenic drive with majestic mountain views en route to the town of Prince Albert. The famous pass was built by the famous road engineer Thomas Bain. Another scenic route via Meiringspoort offers brilliant photographic opportunities through this mountainous sandstone portal.

The KKNK (Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees) is the largest Afrikaans language arts festival in the country and plays centre stage in all annual cultural activities in Oudtshoorn. The masses descend upon the Klein Karoo capital for 5 days of cultural activity around Easter to celebrate this unique language through music, poetry, art and more.
