For those who like relaxing and unwinding, come and sit in the shade on the grass and read and swim and absorb the sights of the rock formations and sounds of the birds and bees. For night owls, there is spectacular star gazing. Most importantly, for everyone, there is the resonating silence of nature and also lots of space to have a lovely time with your family and friends. We also offer catering services for group bookings. Balie's Gat Camp and Accommodation is located on a farm approximately 35 km from the town of Op-die-Berg in the picturesque Koue Bokkeveld, and can only be reached by a high-clearance vehicle. A river with rock pools is located approximately 400 m from the wooden cabins. Laundry service is available at an extra cost. Balie’sGat Camp en Accommodation offers guests 4 campsites, 2 self-catering log cabins, as well as 2 luxury self-catering tents, that are ideal for a relaxing getaway. The campsites can accommodate 10 - 18 guests in their tents or caravans. Each site has a braai area, firepit, water tap and dishwashing stand with a bucket and drying rack. Private ablution with Solar Panel lights and hot water for the shower. Each cabin has an outdoor kitchenette that is equipped with a gas stove, a small gas fridge, as well as cutlery and crockery for 4 guests, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table. These en-suite cosy cabins offer 1 bedroom each with a double bed. The cabins each have a small lawn which is ideal for a small tent; on request only. Towels are supplied and there is a braai drum outside. Please note that this accommodation is off-the-grid. The luxury en-suite secluded tent offers a comfy glamping experience with a queen and 2 single beds, vintage crockery and Cape furniture. Each tent has a braai area, fire pit, water, and dishwashing stand with a plastic bowl and drying rack. Private ablution facilities with a flush toilet, hot water shower, and solar panel lights are available. Both kitchens are equipped with a stove, oven and fridge.
