Available for your exclusive use, Barry House on Riverton horse stud farm near Robertson is ideal for a large group of friends or family including children. It has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms that can sleep 12 (max 14). Wood is included for the braai and fireplaces. The TV lounge offers the full bouquet of DSTV channels and is spacious enough to allow a table tennis board and a card table and of course a double fridge/freezer for beverages & ice. The veranda is the ideal place to sit back and relax with a glass of wine, good company and enjoy the stunning views. Our dining room table can seat 14 for a formal dinner to celebrate a special occasion. Or find a quite spot in the sitting room or the sun room to curl up with a good book. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a gas, electric and microwave oven, reverse osmosis drinking water spout, and a dishwasher although we do offer housekeeping as an option. An inverter & batteries will keep the TV, WiFi, microwave, fridges, veranda fans and some of the lights working during loadshedding (not the water pump or ACs). Country living at its best! The luxury Wine Down Cottage overlooking the farm dam is the ideal romantic hideaway for a couple to reconnect. (No children please as the dam isn't fenced) Fully equipped for self-catering with a dishwasher and robotic vacuum cleaner. The ceiling fan lights can be adjusted to suit the mood and Bluetooth speakers to play your favourite music or watch DSTV. It has an adjoining office for remote working. A kayak is available for a dam paddle, an outdoor shower, a boules court, a maze, and undercover parking. An inverter and battery system will keep everything except the water & hob working during power outages. The TV, air fryer, microwave and kettle etc. will operate.

Riverton is on the R317 golden river route which is home to neighbouring Springfield, Cloverfield and Bon Courage Wine Estates. Robertson Horse Riding Adventures for a sunset outride through the vines and along the Breede river is 4 farms away. Viljoensdrift River Cruise & Deli is further along the road as is Christina's restaurant on Van Loveren Wine Estate. De Wetshof across the road will delight Chardonnay lovers. Enjoy a talk about our local geology and fossils during your MCC tasting at Silverthorn Wine Estate or watch the river flow by at Esona's restaurant. Create a bottle of MCC and enjoy fine dining at Weltevrede Wine Estate's Kapokbos restaurant.
