Beit Shalom (Best Little Guesthouse)
A unique B&B Guest House situated in the picturesque, historic town of Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo. Designed to incorporate the essential needs of the traveler where they can relax and enjoy their rest in a quiet and hospitable atmosphere. House runs on solar power We have eight individually styled cozy en-suite bedrooms which includes DStv, FREE Wi-Fi, Air-conditioning or Heating, Ceiling fans, Tea and Coffee. In the spacious dining room there is a microwave and crockery/cutlery for our guests use. There is off street secure parking, outdoor living area on our spacious veranda and a mountain rock swimming pool. Breakfast is Optional (not served on Saturdays) or you can visit the Smitswinkel Country Kitchen across the road from us!

Oudtshoorn is the principal town of the Little Karoo, founded in the late 1850s. It is situated between the majestic Outeniqua and Swartberg mountains of the Southern Cape.Oudtshoorn achieved its fame as the Ostrich Feather Capital of the world in the late 1800s, when ostrich feathers became the height of fashion in Europe. Even though the industry suffered a major decline after the First World War, due to the changes in fashion, the industry is at present going through a major revival with a renewed demand for feathers, meat and leather. The area also boasts the natural beauty of the Cango Caves. Beit Shalom House is an ideal base for exploring the many interesting and varied attractions within the immediate and surrounding areas.
