Nestled between the majestic Drakensberg Mountains and the sparkling clear waters of the Blyde River, Blyde River Canyon Lodge offers local and international travelers a unique bush experience. The lodge is set in an 85-hectare botanical reserve which boasts a wealth of fauna and flora. Not only is the Blyde River Canyon Lodge a unique holiday experience, but it is also a "home away from home" for many astute and professional businessmen and women, who make our lodge their regular place to stay whilst doing business in the area. Blyde River Canyon Lodge is situated along the scenic Panorama Route in the Blyde River Canyon of the Mpumalanga/Limpopo Province. It is easily accessible to the Bourke's Luck Potholes, Three Rondawels, God's Window and various waterfalls, and only a 40-minute drive to the Kruger National Park's Orpen Gate. The lodge is also rated 4 Star Superior by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa, boasting excellent quality and comfort with a high standard of furnishings, service, and guest care. Accommodation comprises of six double/twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and one en-suite Honeymoon Suite. We also have a luxury cottage with two en-suite bedrooms. All rooms are tastefully furnished, fully air-conditioned, and are equipped with a satellite TV, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Each room leads out onto the tranquil gardens where zebra and wildebeest wander by. Blyde Hillside House is situated 10kms from Blyde River Canyon Lodge in the village of Kampersrus. It available on a self-catering basis and can sleep a maximum of 6 people - extra people on request. Blyde Hillside House is a luxury 4 bedroom house of which 3 bedrooms are available for 6 guests - extra room opened on request. Serviced. Keys to be collected from Blyde River Canyon Lodge unless other arrangements have been made. Blyde Canyon Sunbird Cottages consist of 3 air-conditioned cottages that can accommodate 6 adults (2 adults in each). Children extra on request. Self catering. Blyde River Canyon Lodge is an idyllic sanctuary which lays in a shallow valley, soaring cliffs on one side and the tranquil flow of the Blyde River on the other. Not only are the water courses of the Blyde River well populated with hippo and crocodiles, the Reserve is home to nyala, impala, wildebeest, zebra, Bushbuck, duiker, steenbuck, Kudu and bushpig.
