Brenton Bushbuck Lookout

The property is situated about 9km from the N2, on the ocean-side. The 2-bedroom apartment is on the ground floor, below the owners' living area and can accommodate 4 adults or 4 adults and 2 children. One bedroom has a king-size bed, a free-standing bath and an en-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. The second bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. LOADSHEDDING: The property is fitted with an inverter system and solar panels, so we are minimally affected during the loadshedding being experienced throughout South Africa. There is a well-equipped kitchen with ceramic top stove with oven, fridge/freezer, air fryer, kettle, gas camping stove and microwave, and a combo washing machine/dryer. The coffee/tea station in the dining room has a Nespresso coffee machine. The open plan living/dining area has a dining room table with seating for 6, while the lounge has a comfy leather couch, a single sleeper couch used as seating, and a flat-screen TV, with Netflix, full premium DStv package and a DVD player. Free Wi-Fi is available. There is a double sleeper couch in the dining area. Cell phone reception inside the apartment is limited, but Wi-Fi is good, so data-based/Wi-Fi communication, such as WhatsApp or Facebook messenger calls, is recommended. Cell phone reception outside the apartment, in the garden, is good. The property is home to 5 indoor/outdoor cats and a talkative African Grey parrot. The cats generally avoid visitors. The African Grey lives upstairs on the owners' deck and can be very entertaining from early morning.

Area Info

Lying on the opposite side of Knysna’s Western Head, nestled on the shores of the Indian Ocean in a quiet, lazy bay is Brenton on Sea. Residents describe Brenton on Sea’s beauty as the coast that Knysna doesn’t have and, in reality, Knysna lies on an estuary, the rough seas making itself heard only at the Heads.
Brenton on Sea lies virtually encircled by the Goukamma Nature Reserve, its slopes rich with fynbos, only 500 kilometres from Cape Town and 60 kilometres from the airport at George.
Brenton on Sea’s golden sands are an invitation to sunbathe, fish and stroll the shores. The cliff tops provide ample whale and dolphin watching opportunities in season and paragliding is a popular pastime for obvious reasons. Brenton on Lake has a jetty for launching boats and canoes, and the Knysna forests and the Goukamma Nature Reserve, which includes a 14-kilometre coastline, offer glorious walking and hiking opportunities.
