Welcome to Bun Clody Manor - Guest House & Coffee Shop located in the beautiful historic town of Hanover, Northern Cape. Bun Clody Manor use to be the Medical Centre of this historic town when it still was a Trading post in the late 1800 and early 1900. The interesting history of Hanover has also lead to it being one of the most haunted towns in South Africa. Some of the most known haunted building in town is Schreiner House (Home of the iconic Olive Schreiner), Hanover Museum and The Beautiful Dutch Reformed Church building, just to name a few. Bun Clody Manor has 2 Annexes (The Manor Annex which is fully self-catering with 3 Family rooms and communal kitchen and lounge and The Karoo Annex which have 5 twin rooms and 2x 3 Sleeper Family rooms.) Currently there is no WIFI at our annexes. The Karoo Annex is our Budget rooms. Each room has an En-Suite Bathroom with Shower Bun Clody Manors’ unrivalled ambience is that we have spacious well decorated rooms that caters for everybody that is tired and would like a well-deserved good night's rest. Bun Clody Manor also boasts with 2 awards (The KAYAK Travel Award and The 2023 MEA Africa Excellence award for Best B&B in Hanover) Our On-Site Coffee Shop Restaurant offers a wide verity of dishes as well as good Karoo food which will remind guests of good old-fashioned healthy food. Accommodation comprises various individually decorated rooms, which can accommodate between 1 to 5 persons. Each room features an en-suite bathroom. Each room contains amenities such as air-conditioning, a TV with Satellite channels, Wi-Fi, a coffee station, and other amenities for comfort. Meals can be ordered at our on-site Coffee Shop/Restaurant that boasts with a lovely inside and garden seating area. Your pet are welcome, please bring own bedding for your fur-babies, else an extra fee will be charged for your pet. Pets are not allowed to roam freely on the property. Hanover is situated halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town on the N1 and is an ideal stopover for weary travelers. The Karoo Village of Hanover is a great pit stop on the long journey between Johannesburg and Cape Town. Woman's rights pioneer and famous author, Olive Schreiner, referred to this town as the prettiest village I have ever seen. The unrivaled ambience is provided by dusty streets and pretty historical buildings as well as the old furrows which still takes spring water through the town. Our Church is arguably has one of the most beautiful church buildings in South Africa and also appears on several postcards. Numerous historical buildings and monuments are within walking distance. Your walks will lead you to many historical sites, Guest Houses, Restaurants, our Hotel, up Trappieskop - a magnificent view site of the village, and many a artist can be visited on your tour. Hanover is visited by 12 000-odd Lesser kestrels from Russia in summer. Star gazing under the karoo skies are an exceptional experience. Here we are able to count the stars and not the cars. The milky way is nowhere to be seen as clearly as in the Karoo.

Star gazing under the karoo skies are an exceptional experience. Here we are able to count the stars and not the cars. Nowhere else can you clearly see the Milky Way as in the Karoo.It truly is a Vibe. Tranquility and Serenity are two words that describe the experience in the karoo town of Hanover.
