Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enter the tranquil environment of The Bush Lodge at Hidden Valley Wines. Luxurious and secluded, this self-catering, 3-bedroom en-suite lodge, concealed on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, is another hidden gem in the valley. The wooden lodge creates the impression of floating above the olive trees, having been built carefully so as not to disturb the surroundings. The modern architecture uses natural elements of rock and wood, surrounded by Indigenous valleys and slopes of vineyard rows, and comprises the 1-bedroom main lodge and a separate 2-bedroom cottage. The 2 units are separated by a landscaped deck and pool area overlooking the spectacular west-facing views of the vineyards, valley and Table Mountain. The main lodge bedroom has an extra-length king-size bed and a private bathroom with a separate bath and shower. The cottage bedrooms are furnished with an extra-length king-size bed and twin beds, each with an en-suite bathroom. The bathrooms are fitted with heated towel rails and Egyptian Cotton linen and bath and beach towels are provided. Situated in the main lodge, the open-plan living area features a kitchen, dining area and a lounge. The fully equipped kitchen has a stove and oven and meals can be enjoyed at the 6-seater dining table. The lounge offers comfortable seating, a TV with DStv, Wi-Fi, and a cosy fireplace overlooking the surroundings. Large glass sliding doors open up from the sun lounge onto the stunning pool and deck area. Guests can take time out to relax on the sun loungers around the swimming pool and a gas braai is available. The exterior is clad in weather-resistant Jarrah timber with matching sliding screens that shield the west-facing doors and windows against the late afternoon sun. Guests can visit the Hidden Valley Wines restaurant and enjoy the elegant, handcrafted wines that are the culmination of superior terroir, meticulous selection in the vineyards and gentle winemaking practices.
