Area Info
Doringbaai is a small fishing village situated in the West Coast region of the Western Cape, between Lamberts Bay on the south and Strandfontein on the north. Doringbaai can be reached from the N7 via Klawer and Vanrhynsdorp which is tarred roads all the way as well as Clanwilliam, which includes some gravel road as well. It can also be reached from the R27, which is a coastal road and which is also part gravel road.
Southern Right whales visit Doringbaai yearly between May to November, which is also their calving and mating time
Doringbaai, with its spectacular cliff formations and rocky beach area is a great place to escape from the busy city life. Get your feet wet, catch some crayfish in season or explore the wonderful coastline.
