Die Blokhuis Guestfarm

Two Self-Catering units in The Klein Karoo, South Africa. We are situated next to the N1, 12km from Laingsburg towards Johannesburg. A quiet and tranquil resting place for the person who wants to break away from the hustle and bustle of the City life or the tired traveler who needs a place to overnight.

“Die Blokhuis” was built in 1901 and housed 30 soldiers to protect the steel train bridge during the Anglo Boer War. It is a National Monument. “Die Blokhuis” next to the N1. Geelbeksbrug is a working Olive and Sheep farm. It is owned by Aubrey and Debbie Jack. Their son, Dane, joined them full time to help with the day-to-day running of the Farm. Guests can enjoy awesome Star Gazing. Some other activities include Bird Watching (37 Species have been ringed).

The “Honeymoon Suite” sleeps, 3 persons on a double bed and sofa bed and has a fridge, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, and TV (OVHD Channels). A new addition is our Fireplaces in each unit for that Cold Karoo Winter Nights.

The Big House “Old Farm House” sleeps 6 on a double bed and 4 twin beds and has a fridge, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, and TV (OVHD Channels). A new addition is our Fireplaces in each unit for that Cold Karoo Winter Nights.
