Duke of Bedford
In the heart of the village of Bedford, you’ll find a charming oasis called ‘The Duke of Bedford’. The old Victorian hotel, which for many years stood here in ruin, has been lovingly restored and upgraded and 20 comfortable ensuite bedrooms have been created within the original old stone walls. In the traditional wing the worn old wooden floors bare testament to the history of the building and wherever possible as much of the old has been retained to enhance the new.
Area Info
The hotel’s courtyard is a central meeting point and a hive of activity; the Hope Street shops, which include the boutique Twigg & Co, gift shop Woodstock & Willow and the hairdresser Art of Hair are all within our shopping street. There's also an art gallery and stationery shop, and the pharmacy is just around the corner.
