Fisaasbos

Fisaasbos – its name derived from ‘Fisante bos’ meaning Pheasant’s Bush – is located on Remhoogte, a working fruit farm in the cul de sac of the Tulbagh valley. The harvest: apples, pears, cling peaches and prunes; lots of prunes. The renovated thatched cottage, perched on the hilltop overlooking the valley and guarded by the peaks of the Winterhoek, has served as secondary house and bachelor’s cottage to the main farm since the 1940s. The cottage is an extended rondawel with three (round) bedrooms: two doubles and one sleeping four on bunk beds. One double room claims a fireplace, the other the en suite bathroom (shower and bath). A second bathroom serves the rest. All linen and towels are provided.
