506 kms North from Cape Town along the N7 on the West Coast of Namakwaland. Take a long weekend break or an entire leisurely week! Hondeklip Bay is situated 88 kms from Garies (turn left from the N7) at the Klipfontein turn off onto a stretch of tar till you reach the 60 kms stretch of gravel road and 87 kms from Kamieskroon, gravel all the way over Grootvlei and Killian mountain passes.

From Springbok it is a 2 hour and 21 minute drive, 117,5 kms over the Wildeperdehoek mountain pass and 130 kms via Komagas. Hondeklipbaai, Hondeklip Bay, Dog-stone Bay (of sommer net) Honneklip as it is most commonly pronounced by the locals, is not for the faint of heart! Hondeklip Bay is only reachable by gravel road.
