Forest Hills is the perfect place for couples, families, and nature lovers to relax and unwind. We offer casual self-catering accommodation set in private indigenous gardens and lawns that lead to the natural forest. Paths from the gardens lead you to a short circular walk around the property through forest, fynbos, passed a dam, and a large lookout deck on the edge of the forest. If you are lucky you may catch sight of the bushbuck, boar, caracal, monkeys, and baboons that visit Forest Hills. The Knysna lourie can often be seen with a flash of red as it swoops along the forest edge and at times fish eagles call from up high. A true birders paradise.

We are conveniently positioned 15 minutes from Knysna, Buffalo Bay and the National forest. The forest offers several day hikes and mountain bike tracks as well as picnic spots along the river. Buffalo Bay is a prefect swimming beach and has extraordinary unspoiled stretches of coastline to walk.
