Hadeda Creek Adventure Camp
Hadeda Creek is situated on the banks of the Vaal River, nestled in the Vredefort Dome UNESCO Heritage Site, just 15 km outside of the popular tourist Free State town of Parys. Hadeda Creek River Rafting is the perfect destination for you if you want to unwind, relax or have an adventurous adrenaline-packed time while reconnecting with nature. We offer comfort and luxury in glamping-style tents, which face the serene views of the beautiful Vaal River. There’s something to do for everyone, whether you're here on a school camp, conference, team building, or a fun leisure break! Accommodation comprises comfortable glamping tents that can accommodate between 2 to 8 persons. These tents have access to a private en-suite bathroom or a communal bathroom. Each tent has a raised patio/terrace with stairs and contains a fan, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a wardrobe for clothing storage. The resort has well-positioned shared self-catering kitchens, dining and entertainment areas, firepits and braai/BBQ facilities that guests can access. In addition, there are riverside bomas, 3 swimming pools, a tuck shop, a fully stocked Wacky Paddler bar, a volleyball court, an obstacle course, high ropes, a climbing wall, a paintball arena, a giant tree swing, hiking trails, and fishing spots to visit. Our conference facilities are set in peaceful and natural settings and are equipped with all the audio-visual equipment necessary to facilitate successful conferences, meetings, and training sessions. We tailor-make these events according to desired outcomes and our expert facilitators and trainers are on call to make this happen. Teambuilding activities are offered and coordinated both on-site and off-site. Parys is a quaint tourist town in the Free State, situated on the southern banks of the oldest River on earth, the Vaal River, It exudes small-town charm with its many shops, restaurants and attractions.
The Vredefort Dome is the largest and oldest meteorite impact structure to hit early 2 Billion years ago and boasts a unique ecosystem. This area is only one of a few on Earth where Flamingo Pink Granite is found. This is the only section where grade 1 to 3 white water rapids can be found, which includes Big Daddy and the world-renowned Gatsien Rapid.
