Last but not least, the Robertson wine valley, with good wine tasting possibilities, can be reached in half an hour drive.

Roosje is ideally located in the oldest, calmest part of Swellendam, beside the Drostdy Museum, in an atmosphere almost making part of it. Within walking distance of coffee shops, souvenir shops, the beautiful restored Dutch Reformed Church and the mountains of Marloth Nature reserve. The antelopes on the banks of the Breede river in the Bontebok National Park, are at a short distance as well.
