Hillside is situated close to the N1 between Trompsburg and Springfontein in the Southern Free State. A perfect overnight stop for anyone traveling from Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and even KZN to the Eastern or Western Cape. Accommodation is available in three different sized lodgings: Len’s Cottage, Garden View and The Tree House. Located behind a koppie and set in a beautiful garden, so our guests can fully appreciate the beauty of the renowned Free State countryside, sunset and expansive sky.

Len’s Cottage overlooks the rose garden and is tucked into a shaded corner of the garden, it is ideal for honeymooners or couples. Sleeps a maximum of 4 people in queen sized bed and sleeper couch. 1 Bathroom.

3 bedroom (all en suite) family apartment, with homely furnishings that envelop guests in comfort and timeless quality. Folding, stacking doors open onto an unrestricted view over the beautiful garden and starlit night sky.

The former Hillside Primary School, used in the 1980’s and 90’s, has recently been converted into guest accommodation. The Old School building overlooks the farm workshop area and has a view of a nearby koppie.
