This private Game and Nature Park is all about exploring and enjoying nature at its best. It forms part of the exiting Middle Keurbooms Conservancy with the Keurbooms River that runs for more than seven kilometres through the farm Looking for solitude and a sense of remoteness this is the place to visit. Come and explore the Keurbooms River and Diep River with their panoramic views, or surrounding mountains, with numerous game viewing opportunities adjoining the Soetkraal National Parks land Experience many diverse landscapes like natural forests, mountain fynbos, grassland and a very unique alien clearing project with charcoal kilns. Enjoy seeing a farm being transformed from a neglected hunting farm into a model game sanctuary and tourist facility. MOUNTAIN BIKING
With more than 20 km of challenging jeep tracks starting and finishing at the Prins Alfred Pass. This activity will include a new venture of bicycle tourism where you can ride to your campsite or chalet and encounter game along the way like never before experienced
HIKING
Apart from a range of jeep tracks that is very safe and accessible, a range of other trails that will follow old elephant paths and game paths are being developed. Enjoy hiking among tame antelope without fear in a remote sanctuary. Choose between short 4-hour hikes to a day hike or choose to overnight
GAME DRIVES
On offer is a range of self-drive game trails, game drives with a step-on guide and own or supplied vehicle. This will include game walks amongst the game off the beaten tracks.
BIRDING
More than 100 bird species have been recorded in around the Middle Keurbooms Conservancy. With the many diverse landscapes and elevations, it provides the real opportunity to fly with the many raptor species including the Fish Eagle, Black Eagle, Crowned Eagle and Jackal Buzzard and Gymnogene.
ROUTES
Keurbooms River Game Trails can be accessed from the Prins Alfreds Pass as a start-to-finish circular route or different short routes can be utilised from the different campsites or proposed chalets
FLY FISHING
Fishing, kloofing and swimming in both the Keurbooms and Diep Rivers are allowed as part of the game trail experience. Trout fishing will be allowed by catch and release only
Camping:
Keurbooms River Game Trails provides both different tented camps which are fully equipped and bush camps (basic). The campsites are all situated close to the Keurbooms and Diepriver in the heart of the Middle Keurbooms Conservancy
