Kingston Farm

Kingston Farm is a small farm outside of Bathurst in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The farm was established in 1828, but the main house was built in 1906. Solar powered for an uninterrupted experience. If you would like to make a dinner reservation, please let us know at the time of booking. We serve a set three course prix-fixe menu. The restaurant first opened on April 15th 2007 and has been included in Eat Out magazine’s Top 500 restaurants for many years.

Area Info

Kingston Farm was first established by Peter Vallentine of the Nottingham party of settlers in 1828. Shortly thereafter, it was transferred to Philip Tarr and was originally named Tarr Farm. This gentleman’s son, married a Miss Kingston from Kimberly and changed the farm’s name in her honour.

These self-contained apartments are all part of the main house and feature comfortable and elegant décor. Breakfast is included.
