The Koo Karoo Guest Lodge is dated from 1899 and is centrally situated in the picturesque town of Montagu on the well traveled Route 62. A charming self catering cottage with maximum occupancy of 4 people is located at the rear of the property along with an additional self catering apartment for 4 people situated in the east wing of the main house. Affordable rates available for single occupants, couples and friends. Spacious en-suite rooms available in the main house offered on a room only basis. Occupants can make use of main house kitchen. Inverter battery system provides for 24 hours Wi-Fi, uninterrupted full DSTV and 1 x light per unit. Please note that we do have designated smoking areas Outside.

Montagu is only two hours' drive from Cape Town and within easy reach of the coast.
Montagu is a peaceful town steeped in history and is renowned for its spectacular rock formations, fruit orchards, vineyards and healing hot springs. There are also attractive hiking trails, wonderful rock climbing sites and a nature garden. Two museums reflect the history of the vicinity and a herb garden contains a large number of medicinal plants found in the area. Montagu is known for its muscadel wine and four wine cellars in and around the town produce an assortment of excellent wines. The healthy, unpolluted, dry air makes for a much sought after climate. The Koo Valley, known for its fresh and dried fruit, is situated near the town.
