La Ferme
Nestled in a private valley, La Ferme offers tranquility for nature lovers, fishermen and those seeking to enjoy all the wonders Franschhoek and the Winelands has to offer. With spectacular views over the Haweqwa, Simonsberg and Hottentots-Holland Mountain ranges, sunsets by the dam are what dreams are made of. Our 4 cosy self catering chalets are perfect for both a cold winters stay with inside fireplaces or and aircon, braais, a pool and a clean river to take a bath. All cottages have fast wifi and private, wood fired hot tubs. We have 4 fishing dams that are stocked regularly with trout, bass, tilapia and carp for fly fishing and spinning. The Wemmershoek River runs through the farm and is a perfect place for cooling off on a hot summer's day, sundowners or a spot of fishing. We are fortunate to border a nature reserve. Mountain biking, trail running and hiking are all fantastic options.

Undoubtedly, this region is most famous for its award-winning and truly beautiful wine farms, each of which offers its patrons a unique and incredibly special experience. If you can tear yourself away from our tranquil fly fishing accommodation and dams, the Motor Museum on L'Omarins Wine Estate is also an incredibly popular attraction to those visiting the Franschhoek region.
There are four well-stocked fishing dams in which to catch rainbow trout, bass and carp. You can spend hours by the dams and can even pack picnics and make a family event out of it. Braai facilities around the dams make it easy for you to simply relax and socialise alongside your rods and the water.
For outdoor lovers, mountain biking and hiking is also available in the Limietberg Nature Reserve – our neighbour. You can bring your own bikes however you will need to book a permit through Cape Nature.

Forest cottage is the most private cottage situated between the bass dam, forest and close to the river. It has 1 queen bedroom, 1 double bedroom and an upstairs loft room with 2 single beds.
