Our eco-friendly retreat is nestled within 700 hectares of pristine wilderness, all of which is available for our guests to explore on guided game drives. Create a romantic getaway in a private and luxurious tent, with an adjacent braai area and splash pool. Rough it out in our 4×4 bush camps or spend quality time with your family, either at the playpark with all its rides and slides or game viewing. At dusk, you can sit back and enjoy a cold one while listening to the crested francolins’ call and the crackle of your campfire. Area Info
Thabazimbi, meaning ‘Mountain of Iron’, is situated in the Waterberg Region of the Limpopo Province in South Africa. The town is located at the feet of the Ysterberg and is surrounded by the Witfonteinrand and Boshofberg with the magnificent Kransberg in the background. The name of this town comes from the discovery of a lucrative iron ore reef in the area in 1919. Thabazimbi was proclaimed in 1953 after the full-scale production of iron and steel in the 1930’s. Another leading economic activity in this town is cattle ranching.
The Marakele National Park, 20 km north-east of the town, is situated in the heart of Waterberg Mountains and characterised by contrasting mountain landscapes as well as a variety of wildlife. Marakele National Park is the home of some of the Tuli Elephants.

Luxury Tented Camp

The Self-catering Safari Tents consist of 11 standalone safari tents. Each safari tent has one bedroom with 2 double beds 1 single bed, a sofa bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and an open-plan kitchen area.
Lodge Rooms

Our self-catering suites consist of 7 attached rooms on the second-story building. Each suite has one bedroom with 4x single beds, an en-suite bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen area.
Camping Site B
