Liedjiesbos Bed & Breakfast, established in 1999, is an eight-bedroom B&B located just three kilometres North-west of Bloemfontein. Nestled on our urban farm, you can relish life’s simple pleasures. During the day, the air fills with bird songs and the soothing rush of wind through the grasslands and trees. And at night you might hear some jackal calling or the “Dikkop”, Plovers, Barn owls, Guineafowl and the occasional crow from the neighbor’s rooster that will serenade you to sleep. At Liedjiesbos we will not apologize for the call of nature as this is who we are at heart. How privileged we are to have such blessings around us in our daily lives, and to be able to live and work in beauty and peace! We invite you to stroll through our beautiful olive grove and listen to the gentle sounds of our ‘Ankole’ cattle grazing in the fields. Make sure you visit the "Stack of Stones" artwork by renowned landscape artist Strijdom van der Merwe, and the "Wall of Words" by the internationally acclaimed artist, Willem Boshoff. • If you are planning to stay over at Liedjiesbos during winter, please remember to pre-book your Mezze platter for dinner at least one day in advance. You can enjoy your Mezze platter in the privacy and comfort of your own room, on the veranda or in our living room area. • Also noteworthy if you are planning to stay over at Liedjiesbos during winter, is that four of our eight rooms have fireplaces to help you keep cozy and in a romantic mood during the long winter nights. Off course this is a special treat on top of our luxurious feather duvets, electric blankets, air conditioners and Egyptian cotton linen. For a room with a fire place you can choose your favorite between “Room Letsatsi”, “Olive cottage”, " Fig cottage” or our best room at Liedjiebos, “Plum cottage”. We are situated only 3 km outside Bloemfontein and a 10 minute drive will take you to all the major shopping centers, Conference centers, The Loch Logan Waterfront, Mimosa Mall and the Botanical gardens.
