Lisbon Eco Lodge
Lisbon Eco Lodge is situated on the banks of the Lisbon River, 8.4 km outside the town of Graskop on the R532 highway towards the Blyde River Canyon. The Lodge is hidden between the Lisbon River, conserved wetlands, a nature reserve and a blue swallow breeding area. Many different species of birds are found in the safe environment of the property and surrounding reserve. Self-catering accommodation is offered in Log Cabins and a miner’s cottage named Moffat House. The Log Cabins can each accommodate up to 6 guests and contain 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The bathroom is fitted with a bath/shower combination. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and has a 2-plate gas stove in each cabin. The cosy lounge contains seating and a bunk bed. The lounge opens to a large covered deck. Each cabin has its own braai area. Moffat House was built in 1873 and has been fully renovated to a beautiful old home. The first bedroom and lounge area are open-plan. The bedroom area contains a king-size bed, and a dressing table. There is an en-suite bathroom with a bath/shower combination. The lounge area offers comfy seating and a fireplace. The second bedroom contains a single bed. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and has a 2-plate gas stove. Off the first bedroom and lounge area is an enclosed patio with a dining table and chairs, and a single sleeper couch. Outside, there is a built-in braai facility. We are an eco lodge completely reliant on solar power. There are farm animals on site, and they are part of the farm's ecosystem; our sheep fertilize and graze our grass to keep the lawn sustainable. Be sure to bring your mountain bike to do some exploring on the farm. The lodge is biker friendly.
