Little Acres Drakensberg Accommodation
Little Acres offers spacious, tastefully decorated self catering accommodation with king size double beds. On request single beds can be provided. All rooms are heated. Rates are affordable to allow the budget to enjoy activities close by. We are family friendly. Braai / barbeque facilities are available in the garden. Hiking/day walks and mountaineering at various levels of difficulty are available together with the opportunity to view San rock art. No activities on site to allow peace and quiet but numerous activities close by include; bowls, golf, horse riding, scootours, quad biking, archery, zip-lining/canopy tours, hot air ballooning, helicopter flips, chocolate tasting, cheese tasting, micro brewery, bird of prey show, reptile center tour, and more. Guests can hop onto the Cathkin Trails mountain biking or trail running trails right from Little Acres. So bring your bike or pack your trail shoes. Nearby, Spioenkop Dam offers excellent birding and game viewing (including white rhino), as well as boating and fishing. Battlefield tours can be arranged. Other things to do or places to visit are, a bakery, supermarket, bottle store, laundry, museum, restaurants, coffee shops and gift shops are close by. The garden is large with ample parking space, and there are three friendly labradors that love to welcome guests. The hosts care about the environment. They recycle as much waste as possible. They have two worm farms and a compost heap. Little Acres is completely off the grid. Proudly eco-green!
Area Info
We are very close to all the facilities in the Central Drakensberg. One can spend a day in the World Heritage Site exploring the mountain trails which range from easy half hour walks to more strenuous hikes which can take several hours or participating in the many activities nearby which range from white water rafting (in season), quad bike trails and horseback excursions. Alternatively gravitate to more sedate activities like browsing at one of the many shops which cater specifically for the needs of tourists or enjoy a cup of coffee and a meal at one of the excellent catering establishments in the vicinity.

Protea room is a cottage. A one bedroom sleeps 4. The room has a king bed, (two singles can be made if requested on booking). In the lounge/kitchenette, the day bed sleeps two singles, preferably for children but can be used by adults.
Fern Room

Fern is a one bedroom unit with an open plan lounge/kitchenette. The bedroom has a king bed (two singles can be made if requested on booking) as well as a single bed. The lounge has a day bed with pull out suited for children but adults can use it.
