Mawusi Bush Lodge
Mawusi Bush Lodge is situated on the greenbelt in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. The property has huge Lead-wood and Maroela trees, with beautiful uninterrupted views of the African bush and the majestic Drakensberg mountain. The Estate is approximately 680 hectare. It is well stocked with plains game including giraffe, nyala, kudu, waterbuck, duiker, impala, zebra, wildebeest and warthog which regularly visits the Lodge waterhole. Leopards also seen on occasions and the Estate has an array of nocturnal animals There is a river bed running through the Estate with typical riverine forests. Guests of the Lodge enjoy the best of both worlds. Whilst it is located in the heart of the bushveld it is conveniently just a few kilometres from the quaint little town of Hoedspruit. It is just 16 kilometres from Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport which has daily flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town. We shuttle up to 2 persons with luggage free or we will arrange transport for you at an additional charge by prior arrangement. The location is an ideal springboard from which to visit the Kruger National Park which is just 65 km to Orpan gate the Panorama Route which is a leisurely hour's drive through the spectacular JG Strydom tunnel and the majestic Drakensberg mountains, or the other numerous activities in the area, See our facilities Page. The Lodge primarily provides self-catering accommodation. However, breakfasts are available by prior arrangement at an additional charge and served in the dining room or on the breakfast patio. Accommodation is provided in the luxury queen suites each with en suite bathroom.
