Mitford Lodge offers stunning, sea view accommodation nestled in the heart of Morgan’s Bay. The property offers three fully furnished holiday units named in tribute to the iconic South African Songwriter, Johnny Clegg. Mitford Lodge is centrally situated “on the sea” within a short stroll of the main beach and lagoon. It is also a pleasant walk up to the breathtaking view on the cliffs. The rooms are accessible by wheelchair on the property but the bathrooms are not wheelchair friendly. Superior 2-Bedroom Apartment with Sea Views: This spacious apartment offers stunning ceiling-to-floor sea views, with a balcony for unrestricted enjoyment of the Morgan’s Bay cliffs and the breaking Indian Ocean waves. Ideal for families or two couples, both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and there is a large fully equipped kitchen, and built-in braai/BBQ on the balcony. 2-Bedroom Family Apartment (Sea View): Savuka is a lovely, breezy sea-facing unit on the 2nd floor of the Mitford. It is a family unit, sleeping 4, with a main bedroom king-size bed and adjoining alcove with 2 single beds. There is a tea and coffee station in your room, with a bar fridge and small microwave, (strictly for heat and eat purposes). No meal prep facilities. TV and free Wi-Fi are included. The bathroom is fitted with both a shower and a bath. The views from the bedroom encompass the breaking waves and wide expanse of the Indian Ocean, to the majestic, lofty cliffs, a mere stroll from your lodging. 2-Bedroom Family Apartment (Sea View): This light and welcoming apartment offers a panoramic view of the Indian ocean and majestic Morgan’s Bay cliffs. The waves break on the rocks below, and the beach is an easy stroll away. The balcony with its sea breeze is a bonus for relaxing with refreshments. Perfect for a family, the unit has a sea-facing main bedroom, with an adjoining alcove with 2 single beds. The bathroom has both a shower and a bath. There is a coffee/tea station, a small microwave (strictly for heat and eat purposes) and a bar fridge in the unit. No meal prep facilities.

Morgans Bay is a beautiful stretch of unspoiled beach in the seaside village of Morgan Bay, located less than an hour from East London, in the Eastern Cape. The beach is truly exquisite in its rugged beauty, with a mile of white sand, a safe swimming lagoon, and majestic sea cliffs.
During the day you can relax on the beach and watch the passing ships, get stuck into a good book, or take a long reflective walk. Activities in the area include horse riding, golfing, and hiking. There are several good fishing spots in the area and ski-boats can be launched from the mouth of the nearby Kei River. On the other side of the beach from the lagoon, the majestic cliffs provide hours of unforgettable strolls.
