Mountain Mist

*Stepping inside, Mountain Mist is suitably furnished in a mix of muted colours and screeded floors. There are three en-suite bedrooms downstairs (double, twin and Queen) that open to the front patio. As such the house sleeps a maximum of six guests (adults with children of any age are welcome) *The living area is spacious, with a large open-plan kitchen and lounge with a wood-burning fireplace and flatscreen TV - select DSTV channels included. The kitchen also has a washing machine, a must if the kids have tagged along with you *Set in open fynbos at the foot of the Kogelberg in Betty's Bay, you have plenty in the way of open space and views towards the ocean *The beach is also good for picnics, swimming and surfing however Jock's Bay and Shelly Beach, close to the Harold Porter garden, offer the younger generation better paddling and shell collecting opportunities

Betty's Bay has some wonderful beaches. Silver Sands and Hangklip dunes lie to the west of Stony Point offering a beach of over four kilometres and great kite surfing opportunities

Keeping you and the gang busy ain't a problem. In the unlikely event, that you can drag yourself away from this luxurious haven, the Penguin Nature Reserve is a few kays down the drag, there are some good hikes and walking trails in the surrounding mountains and fynbos, and the beach is about 2km down the road, and there are various eateries and pubs littered up and down the immediate coastline
