Obiekwa Country House

The Country House is located in a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of the village, looking onto an adjoining vineyard with sweeping mountain views. Obiekwa Country House sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 large, luxury bedrooms each with their own distinctive décor and furnishings. The main bedroom has a hi-volume ceiling, remote-control fan and dimmer, an en-suite shower and a view through the big sash window out across the vineyard and on to the mountains. The second bedroom has 1 king-size bed which can be converted into 2 single beds, plus a remote-control ceiling fan and an en-suite shower and bath. The third bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed. All bedrooms have access to an open-plan living and dining area, with comfortable country-style armchairs, sofa, DVD and 6-seater dining room table, plus slow combustion cube fireplace. The self-catering kitchen has an electric stove, microwave, big fridge, and all crockery and cutlery. The living area opens onto a large covered patio with a braai, overlooking fynbos and succulent garden to the vines.

Riebeek Kasteel is in the Riebeek Valley on the slopes of the Kasteelberg (Castle) Mountain, a 946m high solitary rock of Table Mountain sandstone.
Riebeek Kasteel is one of the oldest towns in South Africa, situated at 80 km from Cape Town. Farmers established themselves in this valley and during 1900 the town was laid out around its existing church. The town eventually developed and today it has approx 2700 residents including some of South Africa’s most famous painters who are attracted by the picturesque surroundings of the valley.
