Oude Post Guesthouse and Cottage is a spacious old home set in a private garden in Lydenburg, that is the perfect combination of historical South African homestead and modern living. Accommodation is offered in a main guest house and a free-standing separate garden cottage. The main guest house offers 3 spacious double guest rooms, each with a queen-size bed, built-in cupboards, and a desk for working at. Guest house guests have a communal fully fitted kitchen, a dining room, and a large living room with a Smart TV and a fireplace. Wi-Fi internet access is available. The house has a large garden, two outside seating areas, and a bonfire pit. Up to 3 vehicles can be parked on-site, under shade cloth parking. The free-standing garden cottage is completely separate from the main guest house. It is located in its private garden, and has its own parking area. The cottage has a bedroom with a king-size bed that can be converted to twin single beds, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and lounge. Both the main house and cottage are serviced daily from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, except by arrangement. Meals, including breakfast, a packed breakfast/lunch, and dinner can be served by prior arrangement at extra cost. The main house and the cottage have washing machines, but laundry services are also available.
Area Info
Located in the old established area of Lydenburg, one block from the Lydenburg High School and within walking distance of restaurants, shops and banks. Lydenburg is very central to many tourist attractions, but this old home is also ideal for a team who are working away from home and need short to long-term furnished and serviced rental accommodation.
The Thaba Chwe area is known for its hiking, game viewing, fly fishing and wedding venues. The whole area is steeped in history with various caves and archaeologically significant sites.
