Enjoy the solar heated panoramic pool equipped with a UV filtration system. You are welcome to use the entertainment and gym area. The farm sits on top of a hill and overlooks valleys and mountains in every direction. Sip a glass of wine on the patio under the grape wines or enjoy a refreshing drink in the solar heated pool's built-in martini bar. Enjoy chatting by the fire of the boma or cook a delicious potjie. There is an abundance of colourful exotic birds that have made the farm their home or come for a visit. The retreat offers a variety of fun activities - whether it is playing the piano, having a game of chess, playing a board game or reading a book from our extensive library. Guests have access to a stylish wood-panelled entertainment area in a separate building, which has a tennis table, a pool table, a large TV area, and a gym area. There is also a zen room on the property if you feel like relaxing or recharging your batteries in our healing sanctuary while listening to soothing music, inhaling healing herbal aromas and enjoying the breathtaking valley and mountain views. Enjoy the panoramic soccer field which lends itself to various sports and fun games and activities.

Area Info

The farm is located about 10 kms outside of the charming old town of Villiersdorp, which is called " the Switzerland of South Africa" because of the lakes and the mountains that surround it. In wintertime, one can enjoy the views of the snow-capped mountains while sitting by the roaring fire.

The surrounds are also perfect for hiking and bird watching. A neighbouring farm is a special alpaca farm. One can walk to it and experience hugging a fluffy cuddly alpaca. You can also take a variety of painting classes with renowned Villiersdorp artists. In terms of exploring the area, the location of Villiersdorp is amazing as it is very central. One can get to a variety of destinations and activities as a day trip.

The biggest dam in the Western Cape province called the Theewaterskloof dam is about 15 km away. It boasts a sailing club and a sports club. One can enjoy various water sports there as well as take a sailing course. Waterskiing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, kayaking are part of the activities the dam can offer. Nearby, there is a picturesque golf course overlooking the dam. There are 3 more beautiful golf courses in this area - Arabella golf course (70 kms away), Worcester golf course (45 kms away), the world class Pearl Valley golf course (90 kms away).

Stettyn is a lovely wine farm with award winning wines located 10 km away, where one can enjoy lovely wine tasting. It marks the beginning of the Worcester wine and olive tasting route.
Franschhoek, which is world famous for its magnificent wine farms and fine-dining restaurants, is 40 km away. Hermanus, which is known for its beautiful beaches and whale watching, is 80 km away. Robertson with its trendy wine farms is 80 km away. Montagu and Caledon, famous for their healing hot mineral springs, are 100 km and 60 km away, respectively. The funky and vibey Elgin railway station food market is 40 km away.

Aquila game reserve is 110 km away, where Big 5 animal safari experiences are on offer. Day safaris in the game park are also available. Stony Point Penguin Colony is 90 km away where one can observe the African penguins.
