Each of the 5 recently refurbished Deluxe and Classic Rooms offer views of the Rooiberg mountain range, or our idyllic garden that teems with local bird life. Extra-length, king-size beds with 400-thread Egyptian cotton ensures that you wake up well-rested and rejuvenated, and in winter electric blankets offer warmth and cosiness. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with shower only, and features complimentary Charlotte Rhys amenities and disposable slippers. In-room facilities include individually-controlled air-conditioning, 42-inch Smart Televisions with DStv guesthouse bouquet and Netflix, tea and Nespresso coffee making facilities, a work station or small desk, as well as a safety deposit box. Fittingly referred to as the "Jewel of the Eastern Free State", the small town of Clarens lies comfortably between the high sandstone cliffs of the historically-rich Rooiberg mountain range encompassing the village, and the foothills of the Maloti mountains with their rolling hills, jagged mountainsides and towering peaks.
Regarded as one of the most picturesque spots in South Africa where wide horizons meet clear blue skies, idyllic Clarens is situated in close proximity to the Golden Gate National Park with its golden, ochre, and orange-hued, deeply eroded sandstone cliffs and outcrops – the most notable being the Brandwag buttress, and the mountainous Kingdom of Lesotho – home to one of southern Africa’s premier ski resorts.
