Walker Bay, known for its "champagne air" is a destination to be savored. Perivoli Lagoon House, in the center, is a meeting point of mountain and sea, uniquely laced with spectacular marine life, pristine beaches, fynbos vegetation, fabulous bird life, and archeological caves.
It is known as the best place in the world for land based whale watching. The giant Southern Right Whales migrate from Antarctica to our shores from June - December to mate and calf. Being adjacent to the Walker Bay Beach, Perivoli's guests enjoy whale watching from secluded white sandy beaches and sand dunes. Or the whales can be viewed from the cliffs of Hermanus.
Just down the road is Gansbaai, the place for close encounters with great whites while cage shark diving. Hermanus also offers paragliding, golf and several craft markets.
We are part of the Overberg Wine Region, the southern most wine area on the continent. It is "off the beaten path" and with Hamilton Russell, Bouchard Finlayson and others, is producing some of the county's finest wines. Springfontein Winery is right next door.
