The energetic can walk to the top of the Magaliesberg mountain and then wander along the ridge for several kilometers to enjoy the spectacular views on both sides. Bring your day pack, book a picnic basket with tasty homemade "goodies" and have lunch while enjoying a panorama of the oldest mountain range in the world. Now proclaimed a biosphere, the 8th in South Africa. Guests can also have fun mountain biking along one of the numerous trails.
Phefumula is surrounded on three sides by game farms, the fourth open to the mountain and the Magaliesberg Protected Nature Environment. There are a number of animals that may be seen on walks or rides. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the spectacular scenery.
