Place of Dreams

Place Of Dreams is situated on 3700 hectares of pristine wilderness in the arid, semi-desert of the Karoo hinterland. There is a beautiful, million-year old canyon with amazing calcified stone formations presiding over an ancient waterfall. Place Of Dreams is positioned in the Karoo Hoogland, about 50 minutes from Ceres on the R356, Sutherland road. Camping at POD is situated at our beautiful Karoo Camp fronting the west end of the Place of Dreams. There are currently 2 communal POD living spaces, built from natural stone. The POD Living spaces have been carefully planned to offer hot showers, toilets, communal living spaces, scullery area and well-equipped kitchens fitted with gas stoves, microwaves, stove-top kettles and limited fridge-freezers.Please do not use electrical appliances with an element eg. electric kettles, hairdryers, machines etc. An outdoor dining area and braai facilities are also available. Place Of Dreams is an independent, self-sustained, off-the-grid venue that relies on renewable energy to power. There are hot showers available, but please be respectful of your usage of water and gas.

The Place of Dreams is perfectly positioned in the Karoo wilderness with vast amounts of space to enjoy many activities. If you love being outdoors and enjoy hiking, mountain biking or trail running you will be in heaven in this space.
