Reefteach Lodge
Reefteach has luxurious upmarket accommodation. The accommodation is 200 metres off the main road and less than 3 kilometres from the Parks Board gate. The accommodation consists of Reef House which has 6 bedrooms en-suite, Starfish Cottage has 4 bedrooms en-suite and, Coral Annexe which are 3 x 2 sleepers with own kitchen and bathrooms. You can either book out an entire house if you are a group or book rooms individually and pay per room and not the entire house. Shared kitchen and dining area if you book individual rooms. Each room has two single beds which can be changed to a double bed upon request and each rooms is en-suite so no sharing of bathrooms.

Sodwana Bay is located on the east coast of South Africa, in one of the most unique and unspoiled parts of the world. The nearest international airport is in Durban (4 hour drive away) but domestic flights can be booked into Richards Bay (2 hours) and airport transfers can be arranged.
The KwaZulu-Natal province is home to the Zulu people who have inhabited the area in harmony with the land for several centuries. They still remain the predominant ethnic group in the region.
In Sodwana Bay, there are a few convenient stores that sell basic necessities and a liquor store with limited hours but you will find multiple stocked grocery stores, hardware stores, and beauty shops in Mbazwana, a neighboring town 10 km away.
The iSimangaliso Wetland Park has been a marine protected area for over 100 years! Encompassing Sodwana Bay and spanning over 3,000 square kilometers, the park is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Not only is the reef and marine ecosystem protected, but the surrounding and connected terrestrial environments are as well. This wholistic approach to conservation increases the reefs resiliency to climate change and provides one of the top destinations for scuba diving and underwater photography.
