Sibasa is a village in Limpopo Province, South Africa and the former capital city of Venda bantustan. When Venda was declared independent in 1979, the capital was moved to Thohoyandou town. Thohoyandou is on the main road between Louis Trichardt and the Kruger National Park. Thohoyandou, Sibasa and the surrounding communities are home to the friendly and hospitable Venda people.
