The 250 hectare land surrounding the villa is a wildlife conservancy, teaming with zebra, giraffe, sable and antelope indigenous to the area. The reserve is also home to smaller mammals, such as the Cape Yellow mongoose, civet and genet. The grounds incorporate 2km of wild and untouched beaches on the warm Indian Ocean; perfect for seeing marine and bird life, walks, swimming, picnics, and relaxation. The absence of large predators in the estate allows for game walks and exploration of this unique coastal wilderness. Beyond the natural beauty of the estate’s fauna and flora, the most awe-inspiring element of Sandcastle Villa is the architectural character of the property. The Villa was designed to imitate the land and boundless seascape; it holds the same innate, organic charisma and has sustainability at its core. The Villa boasts 4 king-size master bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and spectacular ocean view. Three of the bedrooms can be arranged as either 2 three-quarter beds or 1 emperor size bed, depending on the desired requirements of your family or group of friends. East London Airport is the closest major airport, only a 45 minute drive from the estate, offering daily commercial flights to and from all major South African cities such as Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. Private Landing Alternatively, should you wish to fly in privately, the reserve offers an 800m landing strip on the property. There is also a Helipad conveniently located next to the villa. As Sandcastle is on the seaboard, it is not uncommon to have windy day's however the courtyard provides excellent relief from the wind and the solar heated pool means that you still get to enjoy the day to its fullest. On windy days, a walk through the reserve’s bushveld can be enjoyed as there are many sheltered spots and tree lined paths.
