The major attractions close to the centre of Durban are only a scenic half-hour drive away. Umdloti is a tranquil seaside village located at the mouth of the Mdloti River, north of Durban. It’s hugely popular as a holiday destination and home to a population of about 3 000 permanent residents. It boasts a natural rock pool which creates a safe swimming area ideal for snorkeling.
