Sasi Bush Lodge luxury tented bush camp is situated on Kilburn Private Game Farm in the Northern Drakensberg of Kwa Zulu-Natal. The lodge overlooks the mighty Tugela Waterfalls which spills over the magnificent Drakensberg Mountain range to form the highest waterfalls in the world- 983 meters! A unique South African experience inclusive of a fresh and healthy set menu inspired by traditional cuisine. An African-Minimalistic interior design incorporating locally made furniture and highlighting magnificent mountain views and natural fauna from every window. A sustainably-conscious designed tented camp, aiming at limiting our human footprint, while still offering a luxury experience in the African bush. Sasi Bush Lodge encompasses four tented units- three accommodation units sleeping a total of eight guests and a main lodge area complete with a bar, dining room, lounge and outdoor boma. A wooden deck with an inset rim-flow pool, overlooking the expanse of the Drakensberg Mountain range, is the perfect spot for you to enjoy a G&T. If you follow the iconic landmark of Poccolane on a clear day from as far as Estcourt in Kwa Zulu Natal; to the mirror image from the R74 travelling from Harrismith past the majestic Sterkfontein Dam in the Free State; you will arrive at her base, in which case, Kilburn Game Farm. With the productivity of the Kilburn Dam for the TUVA hydro-electric scheme, you will encounter a delicate balance between nature and man-made activities. Learn about the history of this engineering feat and gain a better understanding of the conservation and restoration of the land on which the dam was built, giving credit to the original owners who took so much care in preserving this beautiful piece of land.
