Selwane Nature Reserve is located near the small village of Gravelotte and the historic gold rush town of Leydsdorp next to the Giant Baobab Tree. Officially the smallest city in the world, Leydsdorp has only 2 permanent residents. This little ghost town still boasts a haunted graveyard, hotel, and bar from where President Paul Kruger governed the country during the second Boer War in the late 1800s.
In a radius of 60 km, you will find Tzaneen, Phalaborwa, and Hoedspruit, with world-renowned tourist attractions like Blyde River Canyon, Kruger National Park, the Modjadji Cycad Forest, Magoebaskloof, and many more.
