Sewefontein Guest Farm
Sewefontein Guest Farm offers visitors the opportunity to stay on a working farm just a short drive from Citrusdal. Sewefontein Guest Farm is the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding attractions, like the Cederberg, Clanwilliam, Lambert’s Bay or Elands Bay on the West Coast. Stay in one of two self-catering houses at this country getaway in magnificent surroundings and enjoy the fresh air, the views and the restful farm setting. The Homestead offers four bedrooms; the main bedroom has a king-size bed, the second bedroom has a double bed interleading with another room offering a single bed, and the fourth bedroom has a single and a three-quarter bed. The main bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the second bathroom offers a bath and shower. There is a large kitchen with an eye-level oven, fridge, dishwasher and cooking utensils. There is a separate dining room and a lounge with a fireplace. The patio offers views of the mountains and dam and has a built-in braai. The Cottage is comfortably furnished and offers two bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and the second with two single beds. The bathroom is shared and consists of a shower room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave and an oven. Guests can relax in the comfortable lounge which is also equipped with a cosy fireplace. A portable braai is situated on the stoep. Bed linen, bath towels and wood are provided.
Area Info
Sewefontein Farm is on top of the beautiful Piekenierskloof mountains, about 180km from Cape Town. Being situated on a farm, guests can go on long walks through unspoilt fynbos or orchards, do some bird-watching, go for a swim or fish in the farm dam, or visit the rock paintings on the farm. A short 4×4 route is also available. Veld flowers can be viewed in September, as well as the drying of fruit in December, January and February.
