Westbrook is one of 20 beautiful, well-maintained Blue Flag swimming beaches in South Africa. Blue Flag Beach Certification is awarded once a year to those beaches that are deemed to be safe, clean, environmentally sound, and have adequate facilities and services for tourists
As such, one can expect properly maintained ablution facilities, professionally trained lifeguards, clean water, clean beaches, and safe parking

The main tourism centre is the ever-developing Ballito which is 7km north of Westbrook, Ballito offers a large variety of shopping, restaurants, nightlife and more beautiful beaches
