If you are looking for an affordable and relaxing getaway, The Country Garden / Beecatcher Guest Farm is the perfect place for you. You will find an informal friendly atmosphere in a beautiful private setting - a world away from the stress of modern living. Direct access onto the Klein Swartberg mountains with all its diverse indigenous flora. Cool off in the mineral water pool. Country walks, kloofs to explore, mountain hikes or bring your mountain bike to explore the Voorbaat Valley and Vanzylsdamme. The Country Garden is a working farm so you will have the opportunity to interact directly with the animals: sheep, rabbits, chickens and goats. A children's paradise! One of the clearest skies in the Southern Hemisphere for stargazing! A botanist's paradise! An incredible variety of flora. There is always something flowering. Bird Watching - more than 80 bird species including Black Eagle, Spotted Eagle Owl and the migratory European Beecatchers (after which the farm was named!). Our units are self-catering, but we also offer the option of a delicious breakfast basket or braai pack that can be delivered to your cottage. Costs for this are available on request.

Ladismith is one of the most scenic towns along Route 62 with it's iconic Towerkop Mountain peak which can be seen from miles around. The friendly town has a unique history and many architecturally unique historic buildings. The famous 50- year-old Oom Stanley's light on Elandsberg above the town indicates the water flow to the town. There are numerous mountain trails to explore around Ladismith.
Seweweekspoort is a must-see day trip and there are many mountain passes for more day trips.
Other delightful restaurants and interesting shops await your visit in and around the town.
