Driving around the routes of the valley of a thousand hills you will experience an interesting variety of craft sites, cultural villages, and guest houses with views overlooking the hills and dams.
The route starts in the small wooded town of Kloof and ends at Cato Ridge, which is easily accessible from the main highways in either direction. The main section of the 1000 hills tourism route follows the route of the famous Comrades Marathon through Hillcrest, Drummond towards Inchanga and Cato Ridge.
You can also visit Shongweni, Nagle, and Inanda Dams, where watersports, fishing, hiking, and game viewing are popular.
Adventure travelers will find a host of activities available in the valley ranging from microlights to 4x4 trails. The Phezulu Cultural village provides visitors a glimpse into the everyday inner workings of a traditional Zulu village, with beadwork displays and traditional tribal dancing.
Assagay Safari Park has a crocodile farm where you will see one of the largest crocodiles in KZN, and a full range of snakes which are indigenous to the area.
We are based 10km to Kloof Country club and 5km to Cotswold Downs Country Club in Hillcrest, both with magnificent 18 hole courses.The area boast a varietry of restaurants from fine dining to take away outlets.
