The Stone House
Over 100 years old, the original stone architecture and the sweeping expansive views over the White River countryside provide the ultimate getaway destination. Cycling, hiking or running from the front door, you find yourself on peaceful dirt trails within minutes. The Stone House caters for approximately 10 guests with four bedrooms and an open plan lounge and living area. There is a braai area on the verandah or guests can cook together in the large old farmhouse kitchen.Should you be traveling for buisness within the region, arrange with our staff for persionalized breakfasts to get you going in the morning. From the Stone House, besides getting your bikes or running shoes out onto the trails, there is birding, hiking, a swimming pool, an expansive garden for picnics and it is just a short drive up from Klipkopje Dam which offers watersports, fishing and picnics at the dam.

The little town of White River - an important farming and tourism centre - was founded around 1890. It’s proximity to the Kruger National Park renders it a great base from which to explore the park and other undiscovered gems in the area.
The farming traditon of the people that settled in White River after the Anglo-Boer War, has remained practically the same to this day and still attracts many who wish to witness this culture first hand and learn more about a place such as this which is virtually untouched.
Agriculture in this area relies largely on the production of tropical fruit, flowers and timber. It is one of the largest in the Mpumalanga province and is therefore extremely important to the economy of the Region.
White River is a favourite holiday destination for both locals and foreign tourists looking to enjoy the beauty of the Crocodile River Valley and with three irrigation dams and a number of nearby forests there is plenty for outdoorsy types to enjoy.
