Nestled at the foot of a mountain in the heart of the nature reserve and built on the banks of a river, Umtamvuna River Lodge is the lodge of leisure. With its sub-tropical gardens, abundant bird life and its close proximity to the sound of water it has an unhurried tranquillity. Guests have a choice of lovely rooms and units that are comfortably and modernly furnished, each with their own wooden deck allowing guests to unwind and enjoy the beauty of this very special place. The units can accommodate 2 to 4 people and are furnished with king-size beds that can convert to twin beds with cotton percale linen and have en-suite bathrooms with baths and showers. Comfortable couches, TVs with Openview channels, bar fridges and tea and coffee facilities are available in the units. In addition, the self-catering apartment offers a kitchen that is equipped with an induction stove, microwave, fridge, tea and coffee facilities and a dining area. The pool terrace and cocktail bar, on stilts alongside the river, complement the rustic ambience of the lodge. There is a swimming pool, table tennis, foosball table and pool table. Boarderpost Watersports, on-site, caters for cable and boat wakeboarding, speed boat rides, tubing, water skiing, and stand-up paddle boarding, with one of the best skateboarding mini ramps in the country. The lodge is next to a nature reserve, and being an extremely popular beach-wedding venue area on the South Coast, Umtamvuna River Lodge gardens, private beach, multiple decks and pool area are very well maintained making your stay with us feel like you are on honeymoon.

Located in Rennies Beach, Port Edward, the area is famous for the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve where people come from all over the world to study the different plant species like certain types of clivias only found in this area. Great restaurants close by include The Wreck, Fish Eagle Restaurant, Chico's Restaurant and Ramsey Gardens.

Boarderpost Watersports, on-site, is run by retired Red Bull Pro wakeboarder, Kevin Dry, and various packages are on offer, such as single wakeboard lessons for beginners to pros, over-night-all-inclusive, and 5-day all-inclusive camps in school holidays.
