Nestled at the foot of a mountain in the heart of the nature reserve and built on the banks of a river, Umtamvuna River Lodge is the lodge of leisure. The units can accommodate 2 to 4 people and are furnished with king-size beds that can convert to twin beds with cotton percale linen and have en-suite bathrooms with baths and showers. Comfortable couches, TVs with Openview channels, bar fridges and tea and coffee facilities are available in the units. In addition, the self-catering apartment offers a kitchen that is equipped with an induction stove, microwave, fridge, tea and coffee facilities and a dining area. The pool terrace and cocktail bar, on stilts alongside the river, complement the rustic ambience of the lodge. There is a swimming pool, table tennis, foosball table and pool table. Boarderpost Watersports, on-site, caters for cable and boat wakeboarding, speed boat rides, tubing, water skiing, and stand-up paddle boarding, with one of the best skateboarding mini ramps in the country.
