Vultures Lodge
Vultures Lodge offers affordable bed and breakfast, room-only or self-catering accommodation, and is situated at the foot of Aasvoelberg, in the town of Zastron. The lodge is ideal for a comfortable stopover for guests passing through the town. Accommodation comprises individually decorated, historical self-catering cottages and double en-suite rooms, which can accommodate between 2 to 4 persons. Some units contain a TV with Netflix and Youtube apps, a private patio, and an outside entrance. A few units boast a wood-burning fireplace. The lodge is within close proximity to a few shops and other facilities in the town centre. Area Info
The lodge was named in honor of the numerous Cape Vultures that inhabited the area. Aasvoëlberg, which means ‘The mountain of the vultures’ earned its name from a natural bridge in the mountain, which resembles the eye of a vulture.
